Yuan Haiyang, born in Shaoyang, Hunan, holds a PhD and is an associate professor at the School of Engineering, as well as a master's supervisor. Dedicated to technical research in mechanical design and theory. Hosted 2 provincial and ministerial level projects, 1 municipal key research and development project, led over 30 horizontal projects in the past five years, helped enterprises solve more than 30 technical problems, published over 20 papers, including 6 papers included in EI/SCI; Authorized 8 invention patents, 3 utility model patents, and registered 2 software copyrights. For several consecutive years, he/she has been awarded the title of Excellent Science and Technology Commissioner and has been honored with the outstanding personal contribution of "Innovation Leading" in Lishui City.

Since joining the Lishui University family in 2016, Dr. Yuan Haiyang has closely linked his research passion with the development of Lishui's equipment manufacturing industry, transforming research achievements into a powerful driving force for enterprise development and gaining widespread recognition in the industry.

He deeply understands that in this ever-changing era, only continuous innovation can lead the industry forward. In order to overcome the difficulties of existing technology and at a critical moment of transformation and upgrading in Lishui's equipment manufacturing industry, Dr. Yuan Haiyang stepped forward and worked with Zhejiang Gravity Intelligent Equipment Co, Ltd. has joined hands to establish a doctoral innovation station, focusing on scientific research and development for the project of "specialized equipment for turning, milling, and composite processing of large shaft sleeve parts". He leads the team, from equipment function design, scheme design, structural design, component processing to equipment assembly and debugging, every detail embodies his and the team's hard work and wisdom.

Faced with the dilemma of long-term dependence on imported equipment for large-scale component processing in domestic enterprises, he successfully developed a new type of processing equipment with independent intellectual property rights through countless experiments and optimizations. To achieve the goal of "single clamping and multi process processing", after three years of unremitting efforts by team members, Dr. Yuan Haiyang's independently developed equipment has significantly reduced production costs compared to imported equipment of the same technical standards, injecting new vitality into the equipment manufacturing industry in Lishui and even the whole country.

In the long-term research and development process, the enterprise workshop has become the "second battlefield" of Yuan Haiyang's team. Local enterprises in Lishui have provided valuable practical data and testing environment for it. Dr. Yuan Haiyang led the team to deeply integrate various cutting-edge component technologies, stimulating the precision manufacturing innovation wave in the fields of electromechanical manufacturing, bearing guide technology, and electric spindle industry in Lishui City, and strengthening the technological linkage and collaborative development of upstream and downstream enterprises in the industrial chain. In addition, he actively joined the team of intelligent transformation in Lishui's manufacturing industry, injecting new vitality into technological innovation and development, helping multiple enterprises achieve a leap in economic benefits, and contributing important strength to the transformation and upgrading of the local economy.

Dr. Yuan's research spirit inspires countless students to keep moving forward. He is brave in innovation, leading the team to design and optimize the structure of heavy-duty anti vibration machine tools, significantly improving the rigidity, load capacity, and seismic stability of the machine tools, demonstrating outstanding innovation capabilities in mechanical structure design; He rigorously studied and utilized advanced virtual prototyping technology to conduct detailed multi-body kinematic and dynamic analysis of specialized machine tools for turning and milling large shaft sleeve parts, accurately optimizing the core parameters of machine tool dynamics.

In this process, he and his team not only revealed the subtle relationship between cutting parameters and cutting forces, but also successfully constructed a valuable empirical model for predicting the cutting force and efficiency of large shaft sleeve parts, providing strong theoretical support for the industry.

Faced with the extreme pursuit of machining accuracy, Dr. Yuan fearlessly carried out research on error compensation technology for large shaft sleeve parts, and initially established an online monitoring and automated compensation mechanism for workpiece roundness and cylindricity errors. This achievement marks an important step forward for China in the field of high-end manufacturing precision control.
